Music Ministry

Music Ministry at TheJOURNEY is more than just performance. Whether we are playing an instrument or lifting our voices in song. It is not for our enjoyment, but it is our way of glorifying our Creator. We have a mandate from the Lord to lift Him up, and when the children of God join in song our worship takes flight. As the people of God sing songs of praise, and as worship flows from our hearts, the presence of God fills His house and the Body of Christ is encouraged, strengthened, healed, and delivered.

Psalm 150:6 says, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord!” We are determined to excel in Praise! The Praise & Worship Team ministers and leads praise and worship in our Sunday services and in special services throughout the year. Our Children's Choir helps to lead in worship at least four times each year.

Our primary purpose and commitment is to worship God thought music and to lead others into the presence of the Lord, where burdens are removed, yokes are destroyed, and where Jesus Christ is glorified. Whether we are rocking out with modern praise music, or singing the mighty hymns of our faith, our music ministry teams know that their role merely to facilitate the congregation as we all join together to bless the heart of God. The LORD is our audience and the congregation is the choir. It is not the mission of the music ministry teams to entertain, but simply to help create the environment in which all of God's people might join in honoring our blessed Redeemer.

Our foundation is the Word of God and our backbone is prayer. We are committed to lead lives that are pure before the Lord, so the Holy Spirit can use clean vessels to work through.

We strive to be humble servants of the Most High, bringing glory to Jesus, the Head over all things in the Church.

If you play and instrument or enjoy singing, we invite you to prayerfully consider offering you talents to Christ by joining the TheJOURNEY Praise Team, we rehearse every Sunday Afternoon in preparation to lead in worship he next week. For more info please contact the director of music ministry at
